About me
I’m Kay MacDonald, a self taught artist who specialises in pencil /pastel pet portraits but I also paint a wide range of subjects using oils, acrylics and watercolours.
I have been drawing and painting since I can remember, having loved Art all my life. Having moved from Fife to Nairn in 2017, I now work from my garden studio at home.
I live in Nairn with my wife, we love the outdoors and being fortunate to live near to the beach and miles of woodland, walking our cavapoos is a favourite pastime. Coastal rowing, cycling and kayaking are others. I did used to love running and I have completed 5 marathons, 6 half marathons and numerous 10Ks but I've given that up now for different hobbies to keep fit.
I thrive on challenge and adventure, and have done ab sailing, sky diving, bungee jumping and zip wires.
With a love of animals and photography its my passion to bring art to life in ways which are both individual and memorable.
